Wambu Hardware Limited (KRA PIN P051704967S), of P.O. Box 74-20600, Maralal, Samburu County, Kenya, is the owner or licensee of the copyright and all other intellectual property rights in this website and in the material published on it.

Copyright subsists automatically under section 22 of the Copyright Act, No. 12 of 2001 (Laws of Kenya). Registration with the Kenya Copyright Board is not a condition of protection, and no assertion of rights beyond that Act is made or implied by this notice.

2. What is protected

The following are protected works for the purposes of this notice:

• All text, headings, product descriptions and editorial copy on this website.
• Page layout, visual design, colour treatment and the arrangement of the site.
• Photographs, illustrations, icons and other graphic material, except where credited to a third party.
• Quotation, invoice and delivery-note templates issued by Wambu Hardware, and their formatting.
• The underlying source code of this website, as a literary work under section 2 of the Act.

3. What you may do without asking

You do not need our permission to do any of the following, and we would rather you did them than not:

• View, print or download pages of this website for your own personal or internal business use, including printing a quotation or a product list for a site meeting.
• Share a link to any page on this website, anywhere, including on social media and in messaging apps.
• Quote a short extract in a review, news report or discussion, provided you identify Wambu Hardware as the source. This is fair dealing under section 26 of the Copyright Act.
• Reproduce our published contact details, opening hours, M-Pesa Paybill number and KRA PIN in a directory, listing or map entry.

4. What is not permitted

Without our prior written consent, you must not:

• Reproduce, republish or redistribute substantial parts of this website, in any medium, for commercial purposes.
• Copy our page copy, layout or design into a competing website or marketing material.
• Remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trade mark or attribution notice.
• Present our material as your own, or in a way that suggests we endorse or supply your goods or services.
• Reproduce our invoice, quotation or receipt templates, or any document bearing our name, KRA PIN or payment details, for any purpose. Issuing a document that appears to come from Wambu Hardware Limited may also constitute forgery and obtaining by false pretences under the Penal Code (Cap 63).

5. Trade marks

“Wambu Hardware”, the Wambu Hardware name and the Wambu Hardware logo are trade marks of Wambu Hardware Limited, protected under the Trade Marks Act (Cap 506) and at common law through use in trade in Kenya. They may not be used in connection with any product or service that is not ours, or in any manner likely to cause confusion among customers or to disparage or discredit Wambu Hardware.

Third-party product names and manufacturer marks appearing on this site — cement, paint, roofing and tooling brands among them — remain the property of their respective owners and are used solely to identify goods we stock.

6. Third-party material

Where material on this site belongs to a third party, it is used under licence or in reliance on a permitted use. If you believe material has been used without the necessary permission, tell us using the procedure below and we will deal with it promptly.

7. Licensing and permission requests

Requests to reproduce material beyond the permitted uses above are welcome and are usually granted for non-commercial, educational and press purposes at no charge. Write to wambuhardwarelimited@gmail.com with the material concerned, the intended use and the audience, or call 0140 782 822. We aim to answer within 14 days.

8. Reporting infringement

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a written notice to wambuhardwarelimited@gmail.com marked “Copyright — Takedown Request”, including:

• Your name, postal address, email address and telephone number.
• Identification of the work you say has been infringed, and evidence of your ownership or authority to act.
• The URL of each page on this site where the material appears.
• A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and your signature.

We will acknowledge within 48 hours and respond substantively within 14 days, removing or disabling access to material where the claim is well founded. This procedure reflects the takedown-notice framework in section 35B of the Copyright Act as amended by the Copyright (Amendment) Act, 2019. You may also complain to the Kenya Copyright Board (KECOBO) at copyright.go.ke.

9. Counter-notice

If your material has been removed from this site and you believe the removal was mistaken, send a counter-notice to the same address setting out your grounds and your contact details. We will review it, restore the material where the objection is not sustained, and tell both parties what we have decided.

10. Governing law

This notice is governed by the laws of Kenya, including the Copyright Act, No. 12 of 2001 and the Trade Marks Act (Cap 506). Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya. Nothing in this notice restricts any act permitted by the Act, including fair dealing for research, private study, criticism, review or the reporting of current events.
